Talk about an ADVENTURE. Let's start off this blog with a bang and one of the best hikes in the world. This hike takes place in rural Slovakia at a national park called Slovak Paradise or Národný park Slovenský raj. You'll have to watch the video at the bottom of the page to get a little introduction. It's a little off the beaten path (4 hours from Budapest), but for you adventure seekers, it will definitely be worth it. The top hike and the one I am focusing on today is between Čingov and Podlesok. These are the two main tourist centers of the park. Online, you will find that this takes around 4 hours, but no one mentions that that only accounts for the half the hike. So unless you have an amazing friend that's going to drive back to the start, it'll take around 7-8 hours. The hike consists of many ladders up the side of waterfalls, suspension bridges, and metal steps on the side of the cliff. If you're still reading, I'll assume you're intrigued! Go ahead and picture yourself experiencing this adventurous hike and after a long tiring day, you head back to your 8 bed AirBnb cabin that costs 30 USD a night, crack open a beer, and sit by the fire.
