Hey there, we are Gavin and Jess. After graduating from the University of Texas in 2017 and 2018 (where we met during our freshman year in the dorms!), we quit our jobs, moved out of our apartments, sold our cars, bought one-way tickets out of the USA, and packed two backpacks to live life on the road. In the early days, we supported ourselves as online English teachers. Back then we had no idea this TWC community was waiting for us in the future, but we knew that we loved searching for experiences off the beaten path, meeting and being inspired by new friends around the world, and the freedom of working from anywhere in the world. Those passions fueled us to carry on toward this dream!

Since then, we've traveled nonstop all over the globe and have learned many lessons about life and travel along the way. These experiences led to the idea behind Travel World Culture, which was founded in 2018. The goal behind our business is to bring affordable travel to anyone by creating a community of travelers, whether it be through our group trips set up for ages 18-45 (as well as designated group trips for all ages over 18), our custom trips for any age, and our remote working experiences for those looking to work and explore beautiful places.

 

We create organized group trip packages in dozens of countries to give those interested in travel an affordable but unique hand-picked experience, support preparing for and during their trip, and a fun group to explore with. We work to make each trip authentic, heartfelt, and based in an ethically conscious frame of mind. Along the way, our travelers expand their worldviews, create friendships and connections, and are encouraged to grow through each new experience.

TWC goes to each potential destination to find the most affordable options and authentic experiences. TWC then brings those to you in a trip package that allows you to travel more and worry less! We also use our knowledge in each area to create amazing customized trip packages and remote working experiences for anyone!

 

TWC is run with the goal of only positively contributing to the communities that are destinations for TWC trips. We partner with local businesses and give back to every destination for each trip we have to show our gratitude. Further, we educate our travelers on cultural awareness, respect, and leaving a positive environmental impact before they take one of our trips. We believe that all of these intentional decisions work together to sustainably support and empower the communities that welcome us.

As we continuously grow as a company and as people, we've learned that this journey is about so much more than just business! We're thankful that volunteering, learning about environmental sustainability and permaculture, challenging ourselves, learning new languages, advocating for social justice issues at home and abroad, and prioritizing our health have all been a part of our story as well. While traveling the world, we are also entrepreneurs, hikers, aspiring mountaineers, rock climbers, amateur photographers, food taste testers, espresso connoisseurs, corner cafe regulars, and storytellers. In recent years, we have spent our time in between travels in Colorado snowboarding, skiing, trekking, camping, and so much more.
